Hi! I’m Leah. A little bit about me – I live in a rural town in Michigan with my husband Rob and our cat Sammie. I love cooking, traveling, camping, yoga, and any sort of craft or DIY project.
I can often be found in the kitchen experimenting with all kinds of new recipes. I’m always looking for fun and creative ways to eat healthier and live better. If I’m not cooking, I’m usually working on some kind of DIY project for our home. Rob and I also love to explore new places together. Lately we’ve been traveling in our 1965 Holiday Rambler, which we are slowly turning into our little home away from home.
As much as I love to travel, home is really my favorite place in the world. There’s no better feeling than coming home after a trip or a long day. We built our house back in 2016. Even though the building process is over, we are nowhere near finished. Since we moved in, we have slowly but steadily been working to put our personal stamp on our house and really transform it from a house to a home.
I believe that everyone should love where they live. After all, home is the place that you come back to at the end of each day. It’s the place where you eat, sleep, laugh, cry, and grow. I also believe that you can love your home even if it’s not perfect. With a little creativity and a bit of elbow grease, you can turn your house into your perfect space, no matter what kind of budget you’re on!
One of the reasons why I love doing DIY projects is because they allow me to affordably furnish and decorate my home. Plus it’s a really cool feeling to see your own creations come together into a one-of-a-kind piece! When I see an expensive piece that I like, I try to think about ways that I can create something similar myself. It saves me lots of money and also adds a much more personal touch to our home.
On the Blog
So what can you expect to find on my blog? Well, I want to share with you how we are turning our house into a home, and inspire you to do the same! I want to help you make the most of life by feeling great and loving the space you live in. Here I will be sharing all of my creations – both in the kitchen and in the workshop. You can expect to find all kinds of healthy recipes (with the occasional cheat meal thrown in of course) and tons of awesome DIY projects for your home.
I’m no expert at this stuff, just self taught and here to share my experiences and tips with you. I know how it feels to not know where to start, so I try to keep things as simple as possible. My goal is to help you feel great and love where you live, regardless of budget or skill level!
